When it comes to getting extra help in either your marketing or sales departments, you have plenty of options. Hiring Fractional Pros is one of the. Let’s say you decided to work with a Fractional CMO. Well, this is a unique arrangement where you are receiving outside help. They aren’t technically part of your in-house team because they aren’t considered employees. Yet, they are an integral part of your team. Or at least they could be, depending on how well they work with your existing team.

Here’s a look at how you can help integrate a Fractional Pro into your team, which will help form a bond that will lead to a successful relationship, and the successful achievement of your company goals. Here’s more information:

Get Them to Understand Your Company Culture

When you work with a Fractional, they are approaching the relationship initially as an outsider. They can’t stay in this state for long if they are going to have a successful relationship with you. The very first part to ensuring that the Fractional will have a successful stint as part of your team is to make sure they fully understand company culture.

It’s a lot more than just exposing them to the history of the company. It’s about understanding the mindset of the owners, leadership, the people who work at the company, as well as the customers themselves. Although they may have been hired to perform a specific task, understanding company culture is the first step to giving them an overview. Once they are exposed to the culture, they’ll need to be integrated to it.

Set Clear Goals and Objectives

Setting clear goals and objectives will help set the tone for the Fractional’s successful relationship with the team. Knowing what the goals are unites the Fractional to the rest of the team. After all, the reason why they were brought on board was to help the business succeed. When everyone is working towards a common goal, it creates a bonding experience.

Goals can be set in a variety of ways. Company leadership can have an idea of goals before hiring the Fractional. Or, the Fractional can work closely with the team in order to create them.

Help Everyone Understand Their Roles

What is everyone’s roles in the partnership? The Fractional needs to understand what everyone on the team does so they can figure out where they fit into the team. To do this, they need to understand everyone’s roles. It’s an essential part of being a key member of a team, and that is ultimately the role the Fractional will play – not to shake things up – to blend seamlessly with the existing team.

Before onboarding the Fractional, it is important for the existing team to do some prep work and determine everyone’s roles, and maybe even clearly define the role the Fractional will play at the company.

The key to a successful relationship with the Fractional Pro is to make sure that they blend seamlessly with the existing team. This could take some prep work and it requires successful onboarding. The efforts, however, are worth it.
