AI Can’t Replace Human Writers

It’s true that AI tools have the capability to write content for you – but that doesn’t mean that you should use them that way. At the end of the day, human writers will have an edge over machine-generated content. Machine-generated content is perfectly of capable of delivering the point of a piece and giving the facts, but it will never have a true personality or a true voice. AI can never replace a human when it comes to writing unique content, but it can be used as an assistant. Here’s more information exploring these themes:

AI Can Be Used as an Assistant

Before explore why content should always be written by a human, that isn’t to say that you can’t use AI to assist with certain tasks that will make the writing process flow so much easier. Here is a look at what AI can do to help make the process easier:

  • Topic Ideas. First, you can get AI tools to generate topic ideas. You can set the number high, such as 100, and see what the tool returns. Often, AI returned topic ideas that you maybe didn’t think of on your own. This is a great way to give your content more variety.
  • Generate Outlines. Does outlining an article often take you a long time? You can save yourself some time by having AI do it. You don’t need to use every element of the outline if you don’t agree with it, but editing what it churned out won’t take as long as starting from scratch.
  • Titles. Another great use for AI is giving it a task of giving you 10-20 title variations for the article. The reason why you might want to do this is because it is too easy to fall into a rut with the way you create titles. Everything often sounds the same when the titles are human-written. AI can inspire a new way of composing titles that will give things some variety. However, you should still edit what it gives you and make it sound unique.

Human Written Content Has Personality

The way humans compose content, fundamentally, isn’t much different than AI-generated content. However, there is a lot more complexity and personality associated with the way human writers put content together. To contrast that AI-generated content is very mechanical, without a lot of a variety to both the grammar and spelling. How is it that AI checkers can tell the difference? It’s because machine-generated content is fairly predictable. Human-generated content isn’t.

AI-generated content also doesn’t have a personality. It’s flat and robotic. Whereas, human-generate content is unique and has a distinct personality. With experienced writers, you can even hear the way they may speak on a subject based on their writing style. You can’t say the same for AI content. These unique qualities of human-generated content are part of a brand. People become accustomed to your content. If it sounds flat, they will get bored and may even stop reading.

You can use AI to assist the writing process, but you should never use it to replace the writing. Human-written content is far superior.
