When it comes to creating quality content for your B2B website as part of a winder digital marketing strategy, it is a good idea to develop a content marketing strategy that will get the job done. The better the content, the bigger of a strategic advantage you may have against your competition. However, knowing that you need content isn’t enough.  You need to actually be able to brainstorm a viable list of topics and then do the writing once you have the list of topics. This can be easier said than done. It’s too easy to run out of time.

That’s where AI can be useful. While we don’t believe that it makes sense to replace human-written content with machine-generated content, we do think that AI can be invaluable as an assistant. One of the ways it can help is by brainstorming large lists of topics that can be used to create this content over time. Here are some tips:

Get AI to Understand Your Brand

The better the AI tool knows your brand, the higher quality the content topics it will give you. You can prompt AI in such a way that you give it clues about your brand. You even might want to give it some of the copy on your website so that it can get to know your writing style, topics that are covered, and the nuances of your company.

Here are some other things you can do to give AI insights about your brand:

  • Brand Voice. Define your brand voice, and then let AI know what it is. Is it playful, professional, friendly, a combination of all of these, or something else? Find the words to describe your voice and it will help AI create better topics.
  • Core Values. Tell AI what your brand’s core values are, and these have a chance to make their way into some of the topics, give them a more personalized feel.
  • Target Audience. This is another detail that AI can use to understand the situation better, and can therefore deliver higher quality article ideas. After all, the content has to please the audience, and AI should know what it is to figure out how to connect to them.
  • Brand in Action. You can also help things out by sharing with AI examples of your brand in action.

Don’t Forget About the Sales Cycle

Another key thing you can ask AI to help you with concerning brainstorming topics is to get it to align the topics with the sales cycle. If you can feed AI the information and details about your sales cycle, beyond generalities for the different phases, that will improve the quality of its output. In fact, AI can do a thorough job of understanding the nuances of the sales cycle, and it could pick up on things that a human will miss.

As you can see, AI can be helpful with creating lists of content articles that can be used for a brainstorming session. From there, you can take that list and improve on it, thus merging AI and human connectedness to determine topics.
